OSX isn't really BSD based anymore. It's still Unix but most of the BSD parts have over time been replaced. But yes, most of the Linux commands are available. As much as I hate Apple, OSX is still kind of awesome...

You can. But the two emulators will have very different compatibility rates. If you really want to, you can just edit /home/pi/pimame/pimame-menu/config.yaml Then change the mame4all directory to /home/pi/pimame/roms/advmame or vice versa Good luc…
