The xin-mo patch is already included in the 0.8.3 version. If you have wired the player 1 joysticks and buttons 1&2 correctly, then it will work in the PiPlay front end. There are pins that do not work so here is the link for the ones i used. I …

Escaping games using a controller
I have only just set up snes, in the pisnes9x config file you can change axis but cannot designate a one way axis... the joystick axis are already configured so you would have to rewire an axis to buttons i would assume to be able to configure them.

Mame4all vs 2nd player
By chance, is the ground daisy chain connected properly to these buttons and the xin-mo, and is it the same wire used on the joystick as well or is the joystick connected to player 1 ground chain?

The patch is already included in this version. When you hit the TAB button to enter the menu, when you config player 2 controls, is it registering any keys at all?

Only certain pins work on the xin-mo encoder. Here are the pins that work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fxarmggyd98g4r0/PiPlay_0.8.3_Xin-Mo_pinout.jpg

1. Right click / show hidden files 2. These pins work... Select must be wired to button 2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fxarmggyd98g4r0/PiPlay_0.8.3_Xin-Mo_pinout.jpg 3. Try http://pimame.org/forum/discussion/939/missing-files-game-not-supported#Item_9…

Is it somehow possible to create a menu like the one in mame (Tab) for every emulator. This would make it easier to map controls & configure basic options.....

MAME4ALL uses 0.37b5 roms and AdvMAME uses 0.106 roms. On this thread below, there are links for both which have a list of working roms. http://pimame.org/forum/discussion/300/list-of-mame-roms-that-work-with-pimame/p1

I put my SD card into my laptop, here you can view the config file and edit it in notepad. You just have to remove the # before the hdmi_force_hotplug=1 etc..
