contoller problem
If I update when those fixes are pushed, will I be able to run the controller config, and have a controller in NES, or will I need to mess with config files first?

If I were you, I'd try a fresh install and get new NES roms. I'm willing to bet the ROMS were your first problem, and somehow you broke it worse trying to fix it.

Are you looking for .fceux? Try 'ls -a' to see it (linux hides filenames that start with a '.').

When I exit to the console and run 'startx', it restarts the piPlay menu system on top of X. Pretty sure there's no good reason to do that ;)
