Why on Earth is Avancemame even on Piplay?
Why is it legal to distribute Advancemame but not Mame4all? And if it's illegal to distribute Mame4all, how come it is on older versions of Pimame?

There's no doubt that Advancemame is better from a technical point of view. The problem is that it is unusably slow in the Raspberry Pi.

Avancemenu ignoring settings?
It's easy enough to just plug in a keyboard and use nano to edit the file. I was just being lazy, and took the sd card out for editing instead of moving the (bar top) cabinet to somewhere that I could also balance a keyboard.
