Adding Mupen64

Hi All

I've got 8 Beta 9 running on my RPi2 and all is well, but I can't work out how to add Mupen64. Any help appreciated.

For the time being, it's not really supported. However, I believe Shea is working on it (?). Others have got it working pretty well. There is an tutorial on Shea's blog: http://blog.sheasilverman.com/2013/10/alpha-release-of-full-speed-nintendo-64-emulator-on-the-raspberry-pi/
However, it may be a bit outdated and you will probably need to compile it yourself.

@Conno123009 any idea if adding Mupen is planned for future releases of PiPlay?

This is the only feature that PiPlay is missing IMO

Good question ;) The Pi2 is capable of playing N64 pretty well. I think it will be added, you might wanna ask @SSilver2k2 for confirmation though
I'm hoping to get a Pi2 soon to play with and see for myself :D

@SSilver2k2 I would love to see Mupen64 added into a future release, I would even be willing to alpha/beta test it!

Mupen is present in Raspicade ;)

Ian - does that mean you're volunteering to help port what you implemented in Raspicade to the PiPlay project?

You can dl my mupen64 exe from my github https://github.com/ian57/Raspicade-configuration-files/tree/master/mupen64plus and give a try. Or simply give a try to my distro.
