setting up controllers
  • I'm struggling with getting the controllers up and running. I'm using Retrolink SNES USB controllers: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Retrolink-Super-Classic-Controller-NES/dp/B002824SNS

I'm running the latest Raspbian Jessie Noob install with the latest PiPlay beta.

I've run thru the controller config several times but either get no or inconsistent results.

I get no functionality in NES and Mame4all, it does however work with Commando AdvanceMame. Also in the PiPlay menu the d-pad works, X works for selecting and B brings up the overlay menu.

I've tried the script mentioned here: http://piplay.org/forum/discussion/1896/solvedibuffalo-snes-gamepad-won039t-configure but don't get any readouts when i push the buttons, I do however get this:

    "Driver version is 2.1.0.
    Joystick (USB Gamepad ) has 2 axes (X, Y)
    and 10 buttons (Trigger, ThumbBtn, ThumbBtn2, TopBtn, TopBtn2, PinkieBtn, BaseBtn, BaseBtn2, BaseBtn3, BaseBtn4).
    Testing ... (interrupt to exit)
    Axes: 0:-32767 1:-32767 Buttons: 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off 8:off 9:off "

    when I enter:

    "jstest /dev/input/js0"

I've tested the controllers with OpenEdu so I know they work as expected.

    Any ideas?

Howdy, Stranger!
