You have a different card that runs noobs with no problem? Then it is probably either your card or your image. What version are you trying to run?

Arcade parts sellers
adafruit.com has some really great buttons (a little more pricey). Ebay.com has stuff pretty cheap. Sparkfun.com has some of the cheapest buttons around, but not much style selection. Hollandcomputers.com was about the only place that I could find c…

noob, advice please
a little of both. If you go waaay off market, you may have some problems getting your controllers working, but I've tried a handful of different ones, and most have worked right away for me. Some require a little more tweaking/drivers than othe…

yup, no problem. I know how it can be. I asked around on like 3 different forums when I was looking for answers about how many led's I could run off the gpio pins. I was sure that I was going to fry something.

Any one of them will do the trick, and you don't need any resistors. Setting the pull up/pull down resistor is something that you do in the code. If you are just using one of the non-power pins, you don't need to worry about that. You shou…

Honestly, if it were me, I would just grab a pair of cheap computer speakers and disassemble them. They will already have the 3.5mm jack and most have an adequate amp already built in.

@Conno123009 Thanks. I'm pretty busy most of this week. But I'm hoping to finally be able to crack open V.8 next week and help make some tweaks.

I'm not 100% sure, since I moved back to V.7.10. But I think that's what it was.

I think that version .8 needs to build a temp file with all of the roms listed in it on initial boot (and also add an option to refresh the list). I finally got around to running .8 and with the amount of roms that I have, it takes several minutes f…

Question: Building a cocktail cabinet with a third set of controls
You could wire up a button, that when pressed, runs a script that edits the boot config file to switch the screen rotation and then reboot the system. I doubt that you will be switching back and forth between controls super often, so this may be the…
