I don't see why the .git stuff has to be in the SD card image you download? After the first update perhaps, but not right from the start.

I think the GUI is too heavyweight. What exactly happens when I switch between one MAME4ALL game to another? It seems to be loading a lot of stuff.

I think making it very easy to contribute (like with Wikipedia) is the most important step. That way, whenever you find something that is outdated, you just fix it rightaway.

Hello, inserting framebuffer_width=800 framebuffer_height=480 into the /boot/config.txt solved the pygame parachute segmentation fault issue for me as well (also on a 800x480 screen)
