Yes it's possible. You would have to edit .profile file in the home directory. I currently have a line in .profile set to launch the pimame frontend (menu.py) but you can just put in the emulator and game name. example: advmame sf2 or /hom…

PCSX Rearmed Black Screen with cursor after a few minutes
That's a really strange error. Can you list the games you've had this happen with? I've play Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for a while and didn't get any black out. Was this on HDMI or RCA?

Thanks! If you have a GitHub account you can put that into the http://github.com/ssilverm/PiMAME repo yourself. If not, I'll do it later today. Thanks for addition!

List of MAME ROMs that work with PIMAME
From what I've seen, the official versions of MAME still use x86 assembly for some of the engines, which isn't portable to ARM processors.

Snes not working via HDMI
so I did get the issue where I would lose HDMI connection after running SNES, in 0.7.5 I changed it so that snes9x is run via advmenu instead of the regular gui, and that seems to have helped. Let me know if you still run into the issue.

Rompath gngeo not working for menu pimame
Sorry for the delay, the issue is because in the PiMAME menu, GNGeo loads with this command: gngeo -i roms/ if you edit pimame_files/menu.py, line 43: { 'title': "Neo Geo (GNGeo)", 'type': COMMAND, 'command…

Yes. I'm still working on it :) I'm sorry you are having difficulties with it. With gngeo, you need the neo geo bios. I can't tell you where to get that but you need it before neo geo roms will work. I have no idea whats going on…

the PiMAME menu is made in Python, and looks for a keypress, I wonder if I could use something to read in the usb joystick info. I don't know yet, but its a possibility.

when i said console, i meant the command line. from pimame menu select exit and you will be on the command line. It's weird that the joystick isn't working at all now.

If you goto the console, what output do you get when you press up and down and each of the buttons. If I have that info, I'll know what to map it to

You should be able to edit the config file to set it to a 15khz arcade monitor, but i can't remember/find the setting file at the moment.

HOW TO Guide and help to finish my project
Yep. I got it almsot working yesterday. The bottom right key on the tankstick maps to [ which MAME4All doesn't want to see. Also the config file is a binary file, rather than text or XML. So it's been fun trying to get it to work.
