how to configure advancemenu (menu modes and preview options etc)

Hi I have the model 2 Pi and piplay 08 beta 8. I've been playing with advmenu on my windows setup the past few weeks and wanted to do the same on the Pi. However I cannot find the advmenu folder anywhere with the advmenu.rc file in it. I want to try MNG/MP3 as preview and some of the tile options. I have tried uploading some .png files into the Advance/Snap folder but nothing is displayed in the menu. I have my roms correctly displayed as a list. Very happy otherwise :)

lol am I on completely the wrong lines here? Isnt this option avaialable? I have nearly 100 games in the advmane folder and it's taking a while to scroll through them. Like some others I am also having difficulty in switching from the desktop to PiPlay and back again.
