Split screen in MAME for cocktail table.
  • I have a question. I have an upright cabinet running on a PC with a newer version of MAME. In that version, if I set a "non-cocktail" game to cocktail mode, it mirrors the screen in a split so both players see there own "copy of the screen". I am now building a mini cocktail cabinet and would like to use the pi. I am unable to find these options in either mame4all or advancemame settings. Does anybody know how to do it?
  • Have you considered a hardware solution like using a passive or powered HDMI splitter?
    E.g.,

  • Thanks! That would work if I had two displays, but would love to know if it possible in software like in the PC versions of MAME...
  • Cocktail games you can set to cocktail mode with the virtual DIP switches in mame4all, but I haven't seen the option to do do it with non-cocktail games.
