Pi2 beta 8, Mame4All-Pi will not install
  • I just received my pi 2 and put the .8 beta image on a new Micro SD card. It booted to PiPlay and I chose to install Mame from the menu. After downloading the file it throws a error:

mkdir: cannot create directory '/home/pi/pimame/emulators/mame4all-pi/': File exists
cp: cannot stat 'mame4all-pi/mame4all_pi.zip': No such file or directory
unzip: cannot find or open mame4all_pi.zip
    Updating PiPlay Database
    All Finished!

I did startx and went into Raspbian. The Zip file is downloaded in home/pi/pimame and I can open it and extract the files. Unfortunately something is amiss with the mame4all-pi directory. I can not put any files in there manually. It keeps throwing a permissions error. I've tried deleting the folder and re-running the Python install, but that results in the exact same error above.

    Any help would be appreciated.
  • I'm starting over from scratch just to be safe.
  • Formatted the card and re-imaged it.

I connected my Pi to the network and started the Mame install again.

I'm getting the exact same errors when it gets to the Mame4all-pi part of the installation.
  • Thanks @Billgod, I tried that already. However I just retried and removed all the ^M in his script and it seems to have worked.
