No ROMs working

    Cant get any 0.37.5b ROMS working in MAME4ALL, constantly returning MISSING FILE errors and kicking me out to reboot.

    ADVMAME I managed to get 2 roms working but they were dreadfully slow.

    Also I cannot configure my controller to work in ADVMAME, I use the arcade setup in PiPlays options but when in ADVMAME nothing is registered?

    Please anybody can you help me with my woes?

    Desperate to get some old school gaming on the go.

    I have the same problem... even with games that appear on this list https://code.google.com/p/imame4all/wiki/GameList of roms, that should be working.

    I'm going to come clean... we need a port of the newest mame version. 0.37b5 is not doing it.

    changing the path in mame.cfg:

    rompath=/home/pi/pimame/roms/mame4all

    solved my problems.

    The problem with the newer MAME versions is that they are not command line based I believe. They are WAY slower performance wise, in exchange for greater compatibility. You will notice AdvMAME has higher compatibility because it is based off of a newer version, but the ROMs that run in MAME4All are much faster than if they are run in AdvMAME.
