PiPlay 0.8 beta5.img Corrupted File SOLVED!

Hi there.

I have downloaded the PiPlay 0.8 beta5.img file via the website links on 3 separate occasions only to be greeted by the same frustrating message each time upon trying to extract the image.

I have tried windows built in zip extractor, winrar and also 7zip but to no avail. I also tried a file repairing software which again did nothing.

I am desperate to use PiPlay and was just hoping that somebody could point me in the direction of a download that does actually work.

Similar, but I cannot extract the image file. Just says file is invalid?

I have looked through that thread and it doesn't seem to be the same issue I am having as I cannot extract the img file at all whereas in that thread the img can be extracted with winrar.?

Any help gratefully received.

maybe try grabbing an older version and then running the update?

yeah i tried a couple of others too but same thing.

The only file I can manage to open is...pimame-0.8.0-beta1.img all the rest come up with the same issue :(

If I use the file I can open, and then run the update will it update to the latest version?

If not is there any chance of grabbing the latest file from a working source? Ive tried a few different mirrors.

yes, if you use .8 beta 1 and then update, then you should be good to go.

Any ideas though as to why the other files might be giving me issues with downloading?

Quick update...Just downloaded using Firefox (instead of Chrome which I used for all the corrupted files) and it downloaded just fine :)
