Running on a VGA monitor
Chewable
July 2014
I am attempting to put this PiPlay into a custom cabinet I built a long time ago for running mame.
I have a VGA monitor in it, I am running the HDMI to a device that outputs to VGA.
I have uncommented the noted lines in the config.txt file and I see the initial scripts running, but the PiPlay menu will not load.
I am not sure what else I need to edit to get this to display.

Found the answer in this other thread:

I needed to re-comment back the safe mode.

I just had something weird happen.
On the LCD VGA I tested it on it worked fine. On the CRT it crapped out again and gave the original error.

The error that I get on screen mentions "launchmenu.py".
Is there something I need to adjust in that or in "config.yaml"?

can you post the last few lines of your error?

I got it fixed, I had to uncomment one more thing. I forgot what it was off the op of my head.
I will post it tomorrow.
