install from github?

i tried to install from github, but its a old version? https://github.com/ssilverm/pimame_installer

is there anyway to get this updated or is the sd image the only way to get the latest?

there's an upgrade option that you can choose from the main menu of pimame. That should pull beta 3 for you.

This method doesn't seem to work anymore.

I used git to install Pimame as the directions on the page linked above stated, but when I reboot I go right back into raspbian.
