Graphical user interface instead of curses menu ?

Hi, are there any plans for a user graphical interface to choose the initial console that one wants to use ? (before getting to the games menu ?)
That would be really nice (with some pictures of the consoles and maybe the number of games stored in their ROM folder ?) -

Will this interface allow for screen rotation? I use a vertically oriented monitor and I hate that the emulator menu doesn't rotate.
