[FORUM] Heaps of Spam on Activity Page!

Has anyone else noticed how much spam is on the activity page?
There is a link at the top of the screen to get to the page.

Thousands of posts there....
Most advertising ski wear and stuff.
Just thought I'd let you guys know. Off topic post though.

heh, i never actually looked at the activity page. The Spam protection takes them out of the main forum, but they still get there. Going to remove it now.

There has been a ton of it getting through the spam protection and into the general discussion board. I've been deleting most of it pretty much as soon as it comes in.

Some of the spam is kind of amusing to read. The one at the top with the Japanese writing is completely random and makes no sense.
Maybe a captcha on any new discussions? Spam bots are becoming smarter and smarter :-\

yeah, I noticed most of the ones on the discussion page started showing up just after the kickstarter. So I think that brought some attention. Most of them only make sense half a line at a time. Read all together, they are just random gibberish. Not sure what the point of doing that is. If I were building a spam bot, I would have it pull from previous posts rather than just randomness. oh well, guess it's too much to expect.

Spam bots... The internet equivalent of rats. You try to work out what attracted them and how to stop them...
