Hi, I've built myself a nice Defender based MAME machine; thanks to this forum and the help I've gotten, it runs everything I want -- old arcade classics from the 80s, Atari 2600 games, and NES -- and games that my kids want on the Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and SNES. So I'm pretty happy! So much, that I'd like to build a few more, because I have some friends who have asked about me making some for them. On my build, I used a Raspi B+; on the new ones I'd like to use a Raspi 2. Have there been any peculiar or insurmountable issues with PiPlay and the Raspi 2 that I should know about? Or is it working with no problem?
Thanks! Yep, built it from mostly 3/4" plywood. I started with MDF but I didn't like how sensitive the edges of MDF were for getting dinged. I'll drop a PPT file here that documents the build process, and some challenges I ran into. I've learned a lot through this project, and plan on incorporating the changes into my next one.
