The difference is that beta3 uses the latest Raspberry Pi firmware (rpi-update). There were booting issues with beta2 and newer Raspberry Pi boards, and it was recommended to do a firmware update.
I am having issues with it where it will only pick up UP and RIGHT.. jstest, picks up 4 axis (x,y,z,Rx) but only x and y register when UP and RIGHT are actuated.
that's a neat little board. I've only ever seen the J-PAC but that looks like a nice alternative. That's something I'm going to have to try to pick up soon.
I have built one of these - £9 delivered for the minimus and flashing the provided hex file was easy. I have tested with pimame and intend to use this in my cabinet.
I have asked the company, and they are being great, and have been in touch with the factory... Hoping they or someone on here can figure out the easy way to get it working... It must be the joystick module picking up the axis incorrectly as it works fine on a PC (laptop).
