@atv223 - I would overclock to 'Turbo' using raspi-config (1000 Mhz). Also make sure that you are running piplay on startup, not from a terminal window.

@hinchhinch - If you copied the entire pisnes folder over from my repo, then you would also need to re-edit the snes9x.cfg file to update your buttons. The sms config is in the hidden 'mednafen' folder: /home/pi/.mednafen/sms.cfg

@bonesaw - You definitely can use usb port. Mileage may vary though. I'm not sure which encoder that they have listed there.

can you post your snes9x.cfg? You may also want to make sure that you have the build that supports 2 player. (This is the version that supports 2 player: https://github.com/mholgatem/PiSNES/tree/master/build)

roms wont scrape.
check and see if /home/pimame/pimame-menu/.cache/mame4all.cache is there. (the .cache folder is hidden). it's all stored in plain-text, so you can even open the file and check the contents of it.

Hmmm.... Maybe i was wrong on that. I was pretty sure that they used arch Linux. But after checking again, you are indeed correct. So it could be possible. You would need to install several things to get them both working.
