you need to create the zxspectrum folder then. mkdir /home/pi/pimame/roms/zxspectrum

yeah, it was a miss. I've already patched it. The beta_update script has commands to build the missing folders, that's why we never ran into that.

@Pristopher - it sounds like yours didn't update correctly. the config.yaml shouldn't do anything anymore. it should be converted to the databases now (They are located in /home/pi/pimame/pimame-menu/database/)

no, the config file only ever gets overwritten if you run the controller config. Running a game or restarting your pi won't overwrite it.

mame roms not appearing on piplay after I download to home/pi/roms
there is a mame installer that needs to be run. Mame cannot be included in piplay for legal reason, but the installer can be. Run that, then the mame4all emulator will be available to you. clicking on that, will give you your list of games

Does PiPlay have any provision for launching a custom command prior to starting an emulator?
if you edit the 'command:' section for each emulator in the /home/pi/pimame/pimame-menu/config.yaml file, you can prefix your command to the original command. I believe that you just separate them with ' && '

@spacecowboy - have you taken a look at any of config files to see if they have actually changed? The ngpc and sega master system should both be located in '/home/pi/.mednafen/' and labeled as sms.cfg and ngpc.cfg
