How to add items to the menu?
So, my laptop died the other day. It should be repaired today, and then I can look at it some more. I think I know whats going on, but I need my laptop with my dev environment :)

Rotation
from the gui, double click on lxterminal. then run the command sudo nano /boot/config.txt Find the line you need to edit with the arrow keys. When you are done, press ctrl-x, then press Y to exit and save.

I think I may need some help
when you quit the menu you are in the pimame-menu folder. the .advance folders live in your home directory, /home/pi. To edit it modify your command to be nano ~/.advance/advmenu.rc ~/ is a shortcut to /home/pi/

If you right click on the folder view in filezilla, there should be an option to display hidden files.

[SOLVED]booting pi mame
I know why. The filename for your game has a ( or ) or a " " in it. Let me know if I'm right. If you rename it to have none of that it shoudl work. I need to fix that issue.

ANNOUNCEMENT: PiMAME is now PiPLAY (why inside)
So, I own piplay.org, and I'm going to be keep both running and pointing to the same content. At some point the repos will change, but not for a while and I will give ample notice.

PiPlay 0.8.0 Beta 3 now available
Hyperion: Runnign the update will get you the new config, but not the Xin-mo update. That requires the new SD card image.

It's a Xin Mo. A lot of people are having problems with it. There's a kernel update that you can apply. I'm going to include it in the next release.

Joystick preference
I will always have a soft spot for Happ Competition and Neo Geo bat type sticks, but the Sanwa ball type sticks are slowly winning me over.

wifi
You may want to check your power supply and try putting the wifi module on a powered hub. I had an issue where I wasn't using a good power supply and it kept dropping connection.

Can you map controls in FBA like you can in Mame4all?
I think I may remove GNGeo and repurpose the Neo Geo folder to reload into FBA

delete some pifba name games
If you go to the settings of Final Burn, there is an option to show only available games rather than all. That should fix that issue.
