Hi im new in the raspberry pi world and i have some problems,

i have installed pimame 7.10 and have an usb gamepad with 12 buttons. no id like to configure this in gneogeo.rc but it wont work. i see the following input in Jstest left /right = "0" up ="1" -32786 (example dont know the exact nummers right now). right: 32786. same are for up and down. ive changed in gneogeorc at the line #p1 input : J0a32786, J0A32786,J0B1. it wont work. what am i doing wrong.?
