joystick control in advancemenu

I got my sanwa joystick and buttons working in games the right way but in the advance menu everything is the other way around. Left is Up, right is Down!? What am i doing wrong?

Unless I’m mistaken (Which does happen) You could rewire the controller and switch the axis around. Unfortunately ADVMENU doesn't feature customizable joystick controls (Without compiling from source). ADVMAME on the other hand does, so you could remap the joystick in MAME.
