PiSNES not showing loaded ROMs.

Okay, today I'm trying to load up Super Mario onto my Pi. I'm running PiMAME 0.7.10 and everything else seems to be working but whenever I put Super Mario into the ROMs folder it doesn't show up in the emulator. I've tried putting it in the basic ROMs folder and the PiSNES folder itself and I'm still getting no love. I've changed the permissions to 777, and every time I start the Emu it shows I have nothing loaded.
What am I doing wrong? -
are you putting it in the SNES folder in the roms directory?
