Clean Booting to AdvanceMESS or directly to an NES ROM
  • Hi there. I'm new here, just picked up my first R-PI & never worked with Linux (SRY SAD FACE).. !!!Excited!!! So I've got PIMAME installed and all is working well and I think I know how to clean boot to a ROM in say MAME4ALL would need to edit the line in /home/pi/.profile to move from /home/pi/pimame_files/menu.py to something like /home/pi/emulators/mame4all-pi/mame sf2 right? Well that is cool, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do the same for a NES title.. It isn't clear to me in the emulators folder what folder to choose for the right emulator ie mame4all-pi??? I know where the ROMS are, but not how to start the right emulator on boot??? Anyone help here?
  • ok. the nes one is a bit trickier.

    you would do this:

    advmess nes -cart gamename
