how to avoid "insert coin/credit" for Mame4All

    For Mame4all, I would like to be able to start playing just by pressing "Start Player 1" button, and no need to press "insert credit" button for all the ROMs. Is there any possibility to do so? Tks.

    I know you can usually set each game independently to freeplay from the dipswitch settings but I'm not so sure you can do this with Mame4all. I believe you can with AdvanceMame.

    Yes, but only with games that originally had a free-play setting in the dip switches.
    It will only be available on a few games. Hit tab to check it.
    Mame is about acurate emulation of the arcade games. That includes throwing in coins. If you don't like it, play the NeoGeo/SNES/MegaDrive versions.

    Even if your game doesn't support free-play, you can map both insert coin and start buttons to the same key, this way, you "enter a coin" anytime you start a new credit.
