MAME4All doesn't see any roms?
  • I think I did something dumb, but I don't know what. (I may have deleted some config files within the ROM folder one of the times I was clearing it out while testing games)

    AdvMAME works fine...

Anyone know where I can set the folder for MAME4All?
  • I believe it's in the mame.cfg file in /home/pi/emulators/mame4all. Check the link below for mame4all config options.

    http://code.google.com/p/mame4all-pi/
  • yep, it's at /home/pi/emulators/mame4all-pi/roms

Don't forget that you will need to change ownership of the /nvram, /cfg, and /hi to the "pi" user otherwise no game data gets saved.
(and having to let Joust restore it's factory settings everytime you start it up kinda sucks)
  • I tried just changing the permissions from my other Mint box, but I'm not sure if that's going to do the trick.

I'll do some googling to figure out the command to change the ownership of folders in linux. I'm a bit of a hack. I get by, but barely.
