PCSX aspect/ screensize?
  • Having an issue with the screensize (or maybe aspect ration) of PCSX ReARMed displaying incorrectly when connected to a TV, but displaying correctly when connected to a monitor.

When I have my Pi connected to a 19" monitor (via HDMI), PCSX outputs one screensize (that I believe is the proper size), but I've connected my Pi to two different 42"+ tvs (also via HDMI) and PCSX seems to crop the screen slightly (or possibly is forcing an incorrect aspect ratio). PiPlay and none of the other emulators seem to be affected by the monitor/ tv change, only PCSX. I've tried to edit the config.txt file to use different resolutions but this does not affect the PCSX emulator and I am still stuck with the incorrect screensize.

Is there anywhere I can edit or force a resolution for just PCSX? And why the change between the monitor and the tvs?

  • That did it!

I had to find the hidden menu for my tv but I was able to bring the overscan down horizontally and vertically and that fixed the image. Thanks ! Wouldn't have thought to look for that without your suggestion
