PiPlay with PiFace

I want to use the PiFace buttons for exiting games. I have a Model B and want to use both USB ports with SNES controllers (meaning no keyboard). It seems that when I go to setup the controllers, I need an exit button.
Is this possible, or should I purchase a powered USB hub?
