Controller not working in AdvMAME

Hi everyone. One day I bought a cheap chinesse USB game controller for my Pi, and I've been using it in emulators without much problem, but I have an issue with AdvMAME. Whenever I try to play in the emulator, it doesn't detects my controller, but this only happens when I'm trying to play. I can perfectly use the controller even in the AdvMAME Tab menu, map correctly the buttons, and then when I try to play a game it suddenly stops working. Why does that happen? Do you know how to fix this?

Appart from that, when I try to play with a second gamepad in MAME4All, it doesn't works correctly, and the 2nd player controls with the 1st player controller. Again, this doesn't happens on the other emulators (though I have only tested 2 player mode with the SNES emulator and MAME4All, and it works in SNES). Could it be problem of the USB game pads?
UPDATE: Apparently, with the NES emulator, the 2 players control with just the player 1 game pad, just like with MAME4All.
