Building my first Arcade Machine

    Hi all,

    I'm about to embark on a project to build an Arcade Cabinet and am hoping to get some advice.

    So a couple of questions:

    1) I currently have an Arcade Machine that has one of those 60-1 boards. Will PiMAME run those same old games, i.e. Scramble, Pacman, Space Invaders, Galaga etc ? Will there be any speed issues do you think ?
    2) Can someone give me a list of components I'd need to put together to get it up and going. I already have a cabinet in mind, so I'm guessing I need Raspberry Pi, Buttons/Joysticks, and some way of connecting those to the Pi.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Using an I-Pac has been the standard way to go for interfacing controls to your computer. http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html

    You can also find various buttons and interface boards on eBay as well.

    Look for arcade controls
