Advancemame and tankstick (x-arcade)

I'll start off by saying thanks to Mr. Silverman and the rest of the PiPlay team for all the great work they've done.
I'm running the latest beta 0.8.0 Beta 7 and I'm not able to get my Tankstick working with with Advancemame. It works perfect with Mame4All. There are some old threads and a couple blog posts on how to get it working, but it appears that all the configuration updates/mappings are in the latest beta.
Any thoughts?
