PiPlay 0.8.0 Beta 5 - SNES Stutter

I recently downloaded the latest version of PiPlay on my rPi and when trying to play SNES games they just don't run smooth, playing Zelda for example Link is moving jerky and it just seems like I have a low framerate.
Any ideas how to fix this ? (I also got really slugish menus but I think this is normal for the moment ? )
Things I have tried: Overclock to 900 mhz, Split the ram to 128mb, ... -
You may want to try a different SD card (could be something else). That is what happened to me just before my SD card crapped out. I haven't had any problems with SNES. They are all running smooth as butter for me. The menu's should be fairly quick too, we've done a lot of optimization.
