Can Erase the pimame from my sd card?

After many fail of trying to get pimame running. I was wondering if i can erase pimame from my windows computer and reinstall it. Im asking this because i had to burn it on the sd card and will i have any problems.

you can erase pimame from your sd card. I would recommend formatting your sd card before re-imaging it. On Windows you should use this tool to format the card https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Then you should use this tool to write the image to the sd card (don't drag and drop the pimame image, windows uses a different write process)

What's the best way to reformat your SD card on a Mac after having Pi on it? I've experienced problems because of the hidden Linux partition. Thanks!!

Thanks, I'll check it out. I seem to recall using another program earlier and not being able to reformat back to the full capacity of my card and I wound up having to use Flashnul (on an old PC) to finally erase everything.

Yeah I have the same problem every time I try and erase my SD card. Full erase doesn't work. I get some error and it stops. It complains about something but I can't remember. They are Sandisk Ultra 32GB cards which really work great even against that stress test script in the Pi wiki. I can do a quick erase but it only reclaims the small boot partition.

On the PC I always use Diskpart from the command prompt to erase the partition. That's only half of the solution though. You have to eject and reinsert before I could reclaim the space for a fresh install.
