Hi @pickles. You are indeed in the right place. PiMAME is based on raspbian, which is a raspberry pi version of Debian. So it is a standalone OS which is tweaked and emulators and menu etc added. Can you post a little more about your setup - i.e.…

Games are slow
Try MAME4ALL which is included in the latest version of PiMAME. Because MAME4ALL is based on an earlier version of MAME it requires less resources and produces better results with some games. Post back your results.

[SOLVED] Is the PCSX_ReARMed working with a ps3 or ps1 Controller?
I am successfully using a Dual Shock Playstation 1 controller with PiMAME, using a USB converter. Works out of the box

AdvMAME sound issue
I have also found that using a USB sound card helps. I'm using a Creative Sound Blaster Play in my cabinet.

@rocket you need MAME 0.106 roms for Advmame and MAME 0.37b5 roms for MAME4ALL. Can't talk sources here but have a look around and you will find complete sets for each. Also with the SNES roms might be worth trying a few other sets, again can…

Have you tried altering the overclock and memory settings in rasp-config? Step up the settings a little at a time and test see if you get any improvement.

It was the Xin-Mo controller yeah. Thanks for your comments, helped me get to the bottom of the issue. In the end I went with a mini-pac, just easier to work with and manage.
