PiMame Menu is fullscreen, but emulators are 1/2 screen size (RPi -> GBS-8100 -> WG Tube)
This is the most screen real estate that I've been able to occupy... this is not the arcade monitor (obviously) but it shows exactly what's on the HG tube, thanks to the GBS-8100. advv photo here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/7827692@N05…

After dinking around with 'advv' for a while more, I did just improve my situation, but it's still not "fullscreen" - but about 80% now. The other settings in demo mode are compressed vertically into a "letterbox" …

Help PiPlay 0.8 Beta 3 seems to be slower than PiMame 0.7.10
I'd have to second that general observation. We noticed that sound is particularly bad now on a couple of games that we play a lot - namely 1941 and P-47. The sound effects and music is very choppy and out of sync compared to PiMAME .7

Are you logging into the RPi as the user "pi" ?? Everything should be owned by "pi" and therefore you should not have permissions issues. If you are NOT logging in as pi (default pw is "raspberry"), do that and report…

return to pimame menu
Also, if you're being dropped back into LINUX at the command line, either type "exit" or ctrl-D to log out of the shell, and it will bounce you back into the PiMAME menu if you are logged in as the user "pi"

Restarting PiMAME
Try justing typing "exit" in the command line, it should bounce you back into the PiMAME menu.
