piplay image for berryboot?
I used berryboot to load openelec for xbmc and piplay 8.3 and it works fine. Was very easy to install the various systems using berryboot.

No joys, I have tried that. When I run jstest /dev/input/js0 two of the direction buttons wont pick up. I cant remember the program but there was a small program that I used to install the the gui where you can test and calibrate the joystick? Think…

Has anybody tried it on berryboot? I tried running it but after 40minutes I gave up. Gonna try again tomorrow and hopefully it will install if I leave it for longer.

Amazing, cant wait for the image. I am also going to try and utilizes xbmc's ability to play retro games. There are some good tutorials how to install play emulators on youtube. So hopefully I can have the best of both worlds.

How to install xbmc to piplay 8.3?
I have tried running sudo apt-get install xbmc in the command line and was greeted with error messages. I wish they would make this an easier install progress. Hopefully one of the piplay builds will have xbmc installed.

jstest and calibration for usb interface
I sorted my problem by typing sudo apt-get install joystick and then sudo apt-get install jstest-gtk you can then check in the GUI if the joystick is working. I have gone back to pimame 0.71 as my joysticks wont work in 0.8

I had the joystick working with 0.7 but it wont work with 0.8. Raspberri site seems to be down at the moment so hopefully there will be some support soon.

Pimame menu joystick controll
I've built my own arcade machine and I am using a two player arcade button set from ultracabs. I will install pimame 0.8 tonight and see if it works better. Thanks for the advice.
